It’s International Women’s Day on Tuesday, 8 March and I’d like the PRFest community to share words of wisdom to inspire and give confidence to women in PR and communication.
The theme this year is #BreakTheBias.
Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day.
We can break the bias in our communities.
We can break the bias in our workplaces.
We can break the bias in our schools, colleges and universities.
Together, we can all break the bias – on International Women’s Day (IWD) and beyond.
Strike a pose.
Rather than host an event, as I’m sure there will be many, I thought it would be good to have a think about the best advice you’ve ever received or have given.
For example, my advice is always to get a mentor. Mentors can help in so many ways and can be there as a sounding board and to help point you in the right direction. They are also there as support when you do face situations that aren’t right and you need confidence in dealing with.
