One week to go until #PRFest 2021

It’s less than a week away and I’m here to give you the lowdown so you don’t have to do any digging! First thing is, it’s all online again!

Next Monday to Friday we’ll be hosting 16 different events across Zoom, Twitter and Instagram. We have 29 amazing speakers and I’m thrilled the steering group is playing a major role, too, hosting many of the sessions.

We’ve got a diverse range of people and topics this year, all exploring how we can be a sustainable industry, and by sustainable, I mean survive and thrive.

Each day brings us a different theme and a dose of inspiration.

Yesterday, I recorded a podcast with Sudha Singh for her “The Elephant in the Room” podcast. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was great to be able to talk through what we have planned and what people can expect to take away from the week. The episode should be out on Thursday (10 June).

Why should you attend PRFest?

You won’t really find an event like it anywhere else. It’s not a conference and it’s not about being talked at. It’s about learning, sharing, collaborating and being inspired.

The fact PRFest is also on Twitter and Instagram this year makes it more accessible and it’s coming to platforms where you’ll already be and enjoy spending time.

One of the nicest parts of the festival this year is that the steering group is involved in hosting many of the sessions! I’ll be there at every event to welcome you but the steering group are leading on the speakers and questions. I know they’ll do a brilliant job.

And remember that £5 from the £50 ticket price will be donated to the Taylor Bennett Foundation to support its brilliant work.

You can also get CPD points for attending the sessions (CIPR has asked that you screenshot yourself at the session as proof), plus there is a competition on the last day to win a one-hour training session with Isobel Camier, a PR and communication trainer.

Every year I get excited about PRFest because of the positive energy it brings and it inspires me for the remaining six months of the year to up my game. This year is no different, although I’d argue I’m a bit more excited because we’re once again changing up a level to deliver an excellent event.

Go buy your ticket now, and I’ll see you there!
